Get to Know Us
Malik and Sarah have been evolving their story for the past fifteen years. In 2018, they formed the D.A.T.E. partnership. Both have a passion for being involved in the process of creating schools, communities, families, and individuals who honor and celebrate differences. Malik and Sarah will promote personal and professional growth by coaching people through the diversity consciousness process. They will share inspirational stories that honor diverse perspectives and provide trainings that enhance cultural competence, relevance, and responsiveness.

Co-Founder
Malik Peer
Malik Peer grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. To escape the desolation of poverty, at the age of thirteen he left home with his brother to pursue a music career in Minnesota. After an adventurous music career, he found his way back to public education.
At the age of 37, he earned his GED. Upon graduation, Malik earned his B.S. degree in Equity and Inclusion. Currently, he is completing his master's degree in Equity and Inclusion emphasizing in social education. He is also a licensed mediator, Restorative Practices Trainer, and an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) administrator.
Malik has a passion for assisting and supporting all people in developing their relationship with self, others, and knowledge. He brings his passion to his profession by creating engaging and life changing trainings and coaching. When you work with Malik you will receive his trained knowledge and his lived wisdom. The integration of knowledge and wisdom creates a transformational journey.
Co-Founder
Sarah Miller
Sarah grew up in Aurora, MN, a small Iron Range town in Northern Minnesota. After graduating from high school she continued her education at Bemidji State, Mn where she earned a B.S. degree in elementary education.
Upon graduation Ms. Miller was hired in Jordan, MN. She has been teaching for the Jordan School District for 28 years, first grade through eighth grade. Currently, she is working as the district's Culturally Responsive Teaching Specialist, Instructional Coach, and Behavior Specialist, and American Indian Parent Advisory Coordinator. After raising her son, she continued her education and earned a master's degree in educational leadership and certifications in administration, Restorative Practices, and Culturally Responsive Teaching. Today she is working towards earning her PhD in Equity and Inclusion Administrative Leadership.
Sarah's passion involves creating and honoring systems, processes, procedures, policies, programs, and trainings that are inclusive and equitable. She finds joy in her profession by facilitating a collaborative process that creates culturally responsive, equitable, and inclusive organizational culture.
